9'3 Naish Bagged

Here it is Curtis. Breather cloth and bag removed. You are looking at wet peal ply. Tomorrow the peal ply will get ripped off. The red is a pigmented cab-o-sil and epoxy mix. It was needed this time because my boxes were not the exact cant angle I needed for this board. So I tilted the boxes and added filler. With painted boards, you can add pigment, which makes working with epoxy a lot easier. I learned the pigment trick from the Nelson factory.

DW,

can you take a pic with your Vacuum system removed? I would like to see what it looks like?

DW,

You got this technique down! Man, this is too complicated for me. If I ever have a notion of adding a couple fin boxes in a board, I will wait for your next Hawaiian Vacation and make sure you bring your template jig down with you

Much Mahalos for the Pic

It doesn't have to be this complicated. Surf factories laugh at vacuum baggers. They think we are wasting our time.

I do it because I already have the stuff from making race boards, so I might as well use it.

As always, 1st class job on your mods!!

You think Naish will start making more quad models at some point?

Naish has kept current with the trend toward small rippers and wide boards, so I would assume they won't get left behind with the quad movement.

Great job on the fin mods!

I am about to do the same on a naish sup board and was wondering what paint you used to cover the new glass work?

Have just given up windsurfing for the simplicity of sup and have immediately complicated it by deciding to go quad.

Cheers Chris
