DW raceboard For Sale SOLD

14'6 x 27 DW raceboard For Sale. I built 3 boards this Winter with identical shapes, but different carbon layups. The first of the three built includes a windsurf sail fitting (removable) and was done using bomber thick full carbon top and bottom. This is the one for sale. Price is $950 firm. This construction would cost over $3000 from a famous shaper. My shape is optimized to excel at downwinding in close spaced ocean wind chop (SW summer wind).
This is the board for sale. The windsurf attachment unscrews if you don't want it.

Itty Bitty Waves on Itty Bitty SUPs

From Saturday morning

Sebastian Inlet this Afternoon

We probably could have kited late this afternoon, but decided rest was the better option. Driving home tired is not fun.

New Smyrna Beach Today

The forecast was poor for surf, kite, and windsurf today, so we went on a scouting adventure to New Smyrna Beach, near the inlet. The water was very cold compared to Cocoa Beach. Lots of surfers in full rubber, while nobody in Cocoa is in rubber. We stopped by Steve and Marty's shop (Sandy Point Progressive Sports) and found some nice fins and water shirts.
Elusive waves (I'm very comfortable on the 7'8 in any conditions)

ENE wind less than 10 (7'8 Hokua)

Not worth the effort

Smoke on the Water!

We hit the water in the morning fully lit on a 12m kite. Soon the 12m was fully depowered and I was still on this HUGE Fly Door kiteboard. The board is more comfortable than my 140 Cabrinha. Unreal board. It's flimsy as a noodle. That is likely part of the magic that keeps it from feeling big when the wind goes off. It sure is nice to have a board that goes in light wind, yet doesn't send you racing back to the beach for something smaller when the wind kicks in.

At noon we went windsurfing. Lit out our minds all day. Cocoa Beach is a windsports paradise. Kite, windsurf, or SUP, it has it all and rivals Hatteras for fun. Air temp 85 today!

The Downwind Boards are Done.....Yeah

Windsurfing footstraps have turned out to be the best SUP handle ever! Well not counting the new Naish handles anyway. All stickered up with imaginary sponsors. HARD WORK, but cheaper than spending $5000+ on all carbon boards made by somebody else.
I'm sick of board building again! We'll have to wait until next Winter to see if the shaping bug returns.
