I would love to build a race board, I have made my own surfboards befor and it is alot of fun. I just dont have the time now. For those of you who have never made a board before, you will never know how cool it is to set on something you made. You will have an even bigger smile on your face when your in the water.

Nice shape. What are the bottom contours like? I'm thinking about getting a 12'6" shaped with similar outline with concave nose blending into a pronounced double barrel, thick boxy rails, and a squared off tail.

The bottom shape is simple flat. Concave can be good and can be bad. It depends on the conditions. Flat avoids issues.

By the way, the 14ft Glide is simple flat too.

Flat is also easier to shape with my limited skill.

I did chine the nose to avoid catching.

Not bad for a day's work, not bad at all. It's amazing how fast this board is coming along. When are you going to start a board building class :-) ?
