I had no idea there were already SUP races in NC. How many competitors do they expect? Can't make it to this one but maybe the next perhaps. I would just be doing it for fun since there's no way I'd win on my SOS Big Blue (and the fact I don't practice very often). Looking forward to a race report.

I have no idea how many are racing, or if anyone is serious winning. I'm going to have fun and stay within sight of the winner.

So how did you and Jackie do in the race today? I was too lazy to make it up to WB this AM but got some nice surf last night when I got in. I am trying to get Mark Johnson from Hobie to ship east one of the new Hobie 12 foot carbon fiber racing model he designed for Hobie team rider Chuck Patterson. Chuck won the Battle of the Paddle on it. The new model is a race winner I paddled it when I was out in Calf. last month. It is very quick thru the water and really squeezes the energy from the waves down sea. See on the water soon!
