New Smyrna Beach Today

The forecast was poor for surf, kite, and windsurf today, so we went on a scouting adventure to New Smyrna Beach, near the inlet. The water was very cold compared to Cocoa Beach. Lots of surfers in full rubber, while nobody in Cocoa is in rubber. We stopped by Steve and Marty's shop (Sandy Point Progressive Sports) and found some nice fins and water shirts.
Elusive waves (I'm very comfortable on the 7'8 in any conditions)

ENE wind less than 10 (7'8 Hokua)

Not worth the effort

If you guys are still around this morning Sat. the swell filled in a bit here in NSB and inlet looking waist to chest with the shallows breaking right now.
Peace,
