Ice cold it was. In fact, I was so cold, I only caught 2 waves and changed back to street clothes to get warm. That was the end of my session. 2 waves!
When we left the house to drive north it was warm, so I didn't bring my winter wetsuit. It's amazing how much colder it is 40 miles north from where we live. Of course we live near the tip of Cape Fear, which is a milder climate than even just 10 miles away in any direction.
interesting about the cold. I was up in Atlantic Beach and it wasn't that bad. Some guys were out in just trunks. Not saying that was smart but it was crazy cold.

I'm not sure what you're talking about, but the two things in the wave face are surfers punching through. Also a seagull flying by.
