All in one. The original plan was to build a 22 lb ultra light downwind planing board. Then I obtained some military Harrier Jet carbon fiber some guy had stored in his barn for years. The deal was too good to pass up. The carbon was twice the thickness I normally use. The result was a 28 lb board as strong as a Harrier Jet, so why not add the mast insert and sail it too! Of course now I have to build another one with light carbon to get my 22 lb board too.

With Cabrinha handle. Handle works sick, but may be too risky to have there with a sail onboard. A footstrap may replace the handle when sailing. |
