The Awesome Downwind Conditions Just Keep Coming

We've done downwinders 3 days this week, and the weekend looks great too. Two nights this week I played with my new Garmin GPS. Tonights peak speed was 10.2 mph. The glides just kept coming and coming with ease, as the graph shows with the frequent spikes in speed. Downwinding has been a blast this week.

Now compare data to swell direction, size and wind speed to find the optimal conditions.

I'm pretty sure I've got that figured out for runs in CB. The ideal is nuclear SW wind WITHOUT ground swell.

A good SW wind blows the wave size down and with smaller waves and stronger wind, the runs can be linked easier to reach very high speeds and long runs.

Garmin 305. It's cheap at under $150 and it works.
