No sore muscles the morning after from the dome, so first impression is OK.

I asked Evan to include straight edges in his board photos next time. Without the straight edge, the photos only tell half the story.NC Paddle Surferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06212098135959584538noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-917314788148682800.post-45262001319973548382007-12-09T08:11:00.000-05:002007-12-09T08:11:00.000-05:00ncps: nice report. i'm especially pleased to hear...ncps: nice report. i'm especially pleased to hear you're an impulse buyer, trying new things for all of us that are hobbled by our damn kids and ex-spouses. how's that domed deck working out for you?linterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15917828001054033152noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-917314788148682800.post-36664699065311072112007-12-09T00:52:00.000-05:002007-12-09T00:52:00.000-05:00Nice series of posts today NC. Maybe the KB 10'6" is a bit under-volume for CB at 200 lbs.?

I especially like the way you lay the straightedge across the bottoms of the boards. Gives one a very good visual on bottom contour. Have you got any general impressions so far of the different bottom configurations?

Another thing I've been thinking about is that it seems like there is this ever present trade-off of stability for surfability. some shapers are trying to build surfability into a bigger board with step decks, domed decks, and less volume. While others are just going with smaller boards. My thinking is that it is impossible to get away from the fact of swing weight in a longer board. Therefore a shorter, lighter person needs a shorter lighter board for maximum SUP surfability. Any thoughts?

Thanks...I'm enjoying your research, experimentation and reporting.srfnffhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04399633806074538641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-917314788148682800.post-30502950035830788662007-12-08T19:56:00.000-05:002007-12-08T19:56:00.000-05:00Impulse buyer.Impulse buyer.NC Paddle Surferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06212098135959584538noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-917314788148682800.post-3785885456665820472007-12-08T19:18:00.000-05:002007-12-08T19:18:00.000-05:00So what's the backstory on the all the new boards?...So what's the backstory on the all the new boards?
